Summary: Two women come for judgement from King Solomon, but it is only one’s word against the other. Solomon makes a verdict that exposes the woman who is lying and reveals who is the real mother of the baby. All Israel hears of his wisdom and fears him, because they realize he has wisdom from God to do justice. Proverbs 6:12-19, and 27:4 are read because of how they relate to the account.
