After a flashy re-entrance into the political arena, Moses Hatshepsutson’s campaign to establish respect and a position of influence in Pharaoh’s court is already floundering. Both his political opponents and those he would like to represent are angry with him. He is accused of arrogance and irresponsibility.
First, in the open court, Mr. Hatshepsutson confronted the Pharaoh with demands of increased vacation time for the Hebrew workers at the government owned and operated brick factory. The Pharaoh quickly countered by accusing the workers of being lazy.
The current labor contract allowed the Pharaoh to subsequently increase the workload of the workers, as well as assign severe penalties to those who did not meet the quotas. Hebrew section managers are said to have suffered the most.
When the Hebrew workers complained about the unrealistic orders, the Pharaoh wielded all the powers of an incumbant governmental CEO. He laid the blame squarely on Mr. Hatshepsutson. The related press release successfully made the Hebrew workers turn on their new leader.
Mr. Hatshepsutson has not been available for comment, having retreated to a sequestered location to allegedly pray to the God who sent him. Taking advantage of Mr. Hatshepsutson’s absence, the government has unleashed an all out propaganda war based on the slogan, “Who is this LORD, anyway?”
