Is Boaz as the Kinsman Redeemer a Symbol of Patriarchal Oppression ?

May 30, 2022 by Laura Blodgett Leave a Comment

Summary: Is Ruth a heroine or a victim? Part of understanding this has to do with seeing how God’s law is FOR people, much like Jesus says the Sabbath was for man, not the man for Sabbath. Also, God didn’t create woman as an afterthought or as inferior to man. But he did make them male and female, the two different types of equally loved and valuable humans.
