Summary: A man of God tells Jeroboam that his altar will be destroyed and desecrated, then, to back up the prophecy, the altar is immediately split apart. When Jeroboam tries to arrest the prophet, his kingly hand is supernaturally rendered powerless and he asks the prophet to pray for him. On the way home, the prophet listens to another prophet who lies to him about hearing from God on his behalf, which results in the first prophet being killed by a lion. Jeroboam choses not to learn anything from all of this and continues to be evil. Read from the World English Bible.
