Summary: The current king of Syria besieges Samaria and tries to come take all of King Ahab’s wealth and family away. A prophet shows up to give King Ahab battle advice from Yahweh, then comes again to tell him what to prepare for next. The king of Syria’s counselors give him some very bad advice that includes a perspective of Yahweh that Yahweh decides to correct by giving King Ahab another victory.
