Summary: Jonathan chooses a strategic location to do battle with the Philistines who are oppressing Israel, while Saul sits under a pomegranate tree well within Gibeah. God magnifies Jonathan’s efforts with some earth quaking. Jonathan eats a little honey after being hungry in battle, not knowing it could get him sentenced to death.
