Reading 2 Kings Chapter 5

October 5, 2022 by Laura Blodgett Leave a Comment

Summary: A little slave girl mentions that she wishes her master, the captain of the Syrian army, could be healed of leprosy by the prophet in Samaria. The king of Syria sends him to get healed. He is at first offended by the method, but his servants talk him into doing what was instructed. The result is fresh, new skin, as well as the captain turning to follow the God of Israel. The prophet, Elisha, absolutely refuses any payment, but his servant sneaks around to just get a little bit and gets cursed with leprosy for it. Read from the World English Bible.
