Summary: Elisha warns the Shunammite woman about an impending 7 year famine. She returns after the famine to ask the king of Israel for her land to be returned to her at the same time that Gehazi is telling the king about Elisha’s exploits and raising her son from the dead. Elisha himself goes to Damascus and speaks to the king of Syria’s treasonous servant, who will become the next king of Syria and cause much suffering in Israel. Then we hear that Jehoram son of Jehoshaphat dies and Ahab’s grandson AND son-in-law, Ahaziah, becomes king of Judah. Read from the World English Bible.
