Summary: Moses reviews the portion of the sacrifices that the priests are to be given. He states they have no inheritance among their brothers because Yahweh is their inheritance. Israel is warned not to imitate the abominations of the nations who were previously in the land, such as making their children pass through the fire, using divination, consulting familiar spirits, or telling fortunes. Then Moses tells them of a prophet who will be raised up from among them, that Yahweh will put Yahweh’s words in the prophet’s mouth, and that whoever will not listen will be held accountable.
