Reading Deuteronomy Chapter 3

February 11, 2022 by Laura Blodgett Leave a Comment

Summary: Moses reviews how they conquered Og the king of Bashan, which included 60 walled cities. The different names by which Mount Hermon was known are mentioned. Moses tells that Og was the last of the Rephaim and had a huge iron bedstead. The borders of the land given to Reuben, Gad, and the half tribe of Manasseh are recounted, as well as their agreement to go fight for the rest of the land. Moses speaks of pleading with Yahweh to be allowed to cross over to see the good land, but he is told to commission Joshua for that. Read from the World English Bible.
