Summary: Moses teaches them the song that both expounds on the greatness and justice of Yahweh, as well as tells how the false gods they will follow will not save them. He will repay those who hate him and avenge the blood of his servants. Then Yahweh tells Moses to go up on Mount Nebo to look at the land of Canaan from a distance only, because Moses did not uphold Yahweh’s holiness among the children of Israel at the waters of Meribah.
