Summary: Moses tells Israel that the nations who are being destroyed are perishing because of the wickedness of those nations, not because of any righteousness of Israel. He drives the point home by reminding Israel of how much they have provoked Yahweh to wrath and came near to destruction. But Moses prayed for them another 40 days and 40 nights, appealing to Yahweh’s promises to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Read from the World English Bible.
