Summary: Joseph’s brothers are sent to buy grain in Egypt, where they talk with Joseph, but don’t recognize him, even though he asks a lot of questions about their family. He accuses them of being spies, then tells the not to come again unless they bring their youngest brother, which will prove they are telling the truth. When they need grain again, they finally get Jacob to realize they can’t go without Benjamin. Judah promises himself as collateral. After hiding his silver cup in Benjamins sack, Joseph accuses them of stealing and says they can all go home except Benjamin. Judah pleads with Joseph to keep him instead so that Jacob doesn’t die of grief. At this Joseph breaks down and reveals himself, at which his brothers become terrified. In the end, they go to get Jacob and the whole family to come live in Egypt. Read from the World English Bible
