Summary: The writer goes on to explain that the law was only a shadow of the good to come. The blood of bulls and goats cannot take away sins, but were a reminder of sins. Portions of the Psalms, Jeremiah, Deuteronomy, and Habakkuk are quoted to show that the one time, perfect sacrifice of Jesus was in view all along. This should have the effect of exhorting one another. On the flip side, a person who disregards the Son of God be judges worthy of a worse punishment than those who disregarded the law of Moses.
