Summary: Yahweh regrets that he cannot heal Israel because he is faced with all of their iniquity. They are fueling their wickedness like a baker creates super hot coals in his oven to bake bread, but in spite of that they are like a partially cooked pancake. They are basically acting like bird-brained idiots and becoming weakened by their pursuit of sin. Their boasting of it will come back to deride them in the land of Egypt.
