Summary: Yahweh speaks to Joshua, telling him that no man will be able to stand against him all the days of his life. Joshua is supposed to meditate on the law day and night. So, Joshua takes the first steps to get the people ready to cross over the Jordan, which include reminding the Reubenites, the Gadits, and the half-tribe of Manasseh of their promise to help the rest of Israel conquer the land on the other side of the Jordan.
