Summary: The priests have to stand in the middle of the Jordan (on dry ground) holding the ark while 12 stones are collected to set up a memorial near the banks at Gilgal. Then Joshua commands them to bring the ark out of the riverbed. As soon as they are out of the way, the river filled back to all its banks. Read from the World English Bible.
