Reading Matthew Chapter 12

April 23, 2022 by Laura Blodgett Leave a Comment

Summary: Jesus corrects how the Pharisee represent the Sabbath day, even as they try to trap him by getting him to heal someone on the Sabbath. The Pharisees again accuse Jesus of casting out demons by the power of Satan, but he exposes why that doesn’t make any sense. Some scribes and Pharisees ask for a sign, but Jesus says the only sign they will get is the sign of Jonah and that Nineveh will condemn that generation in the day of judgement. The chapter ends with Jesus explaining that whoever does the will of his Father in heaven is his brother, sister, and mother. Read from the World English Bible.
