Summary: Paul emphasizes his love for these people. Included in this section of the letter are the famous statements in context: “Rejoice in the Lord always!”, “whatever things are true… think about these things.”, “in nothing be anxious.”, and “I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.” Paul thanks them for giving gifts to him, but goes to great length to say that he doesn’t seek a gift.
