Summary: When Festus arrives to govern the territory, he is predisposed to send Paul back to Jerusalem, where the principal Jews are planning to have Paul killed. However, Paul appeals to Caesar in an attempt to avoid Festus’ corrupt tendencies. Soon after that Agrippa and Bernice arrive to visit Festus. Agrippa is interested in hearing what Paul has to say. The proceedings begin with some pomp and ceremony, then Festus opens the matter by admitting he has nothing to charge Paul with. Read from the World English Bible.
