Summary: Jesus tells the multitude and his disciples to pay attention to the law of Moses that the scribes and Pharisees teach, but don’t live like the hypocritical scribes and Pharisees do. He goes on to expose the destructive and sinful attitudes of the scribes and Pharisees, ending with saying they will even kill the prophets and wise men that will be sent to them still. Finally, Jesus laments that he would have gathered Jerusalem under his wings like a hen gathers her chicks, but they would not. Read from the World English Bible.
